Values in Action
'All Red Beach School programmes support our nationally held values, as currently defined by the Ministry of Education. The Red Beach School Vision...."To be a community empowering life-long learners to achieve and make a difference" encapsulates these values. The heart at the bottom of the pohutukawa tree represents the 'RICH' heart of the school...Respect, Inclusive, Care and Honesty. Values in Action focuses each week on the actions of a character from a Bible story which the children process and try to put into action during the following week. Hence the name 'Values in Action'. It is a voluntary programme so parents can decide whether their children participate in the programme or not. Children who do not participate will continue to learn in a buddy class.
The school outsources its stationery requirements. At the end of the school year, we issue stationery lists for the following year so that parents can make these purchases before school starts for the year. Parents can now buy stationery online from OfficeMax. Library bags and book bags

Riding Bikes and Scooters to School
We encourage as many children as possible to walk, ride or scoot to school as a great way of keeping active and also alleviating the pressure on cars at the gate. Children are permitted to ride to school at any age although the Police recommend the children be at least 10 years of age.
Throughout the year there will be school assemblies which will be advertised in the school newsletter and
Periodically the school holds a "Mufti Day". This is when the children can wear their regular clothes rather than school uniform, paying usually a gold coin donation for this opportunity. A Mufti Day is usually held for a particular fundraising reason. We always hold 4 of them just prior to the school's Gala Day in November as part of the
