From the Principal
Tēnā koutou katoa, Kia orāna,
Our School Board elections are underway, and every vote counts! We encourage all parents and caregivers to take part – voting closes on Wednesday 10th September.
This week we have welcomed Ms Abi Cawood to the team. She is the new teacher in Room 16 as Ms Winana has headed off on maternity leave. All the very best to Kate and Sam as they look forward to the arrival of their daughter!
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our parents and whānau for the wonderful support you continue to give our school. Your time, energy, and encouragement make such a difference to the experiences we are able to provide for our students.
In recent weeks, we have been fortunate to enjoy some fantastic trips and learning opportunities – from the Year 6 trip to Tiritiri Matangi, to the Year 4 & 5 beach trip and right now, the Kelly Tarlton’s sleepover.
These adventures would not be possible without your help. We are equally grateful for the many ways you support us closer to home, whether through Community Committee involvement, sports coaching, classroom assistance, or lending a hand behind the scenes. Together, we are creating lasting memories and rich learning opportunities for our children. Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community.
I look forward to all who are able to come along to our Sausage Sizzle this Friday. A huge shout-out goes to our amazing cooks who keep the BBQs sizzling – we couldn’t do it without you!
Thank you again for everything you do to support our school and our learners.
Ngā mihi nui,
Julie Hepburn
Principal
